In English, there are different ways to ask for the time depending on the level of formality. En inglés, hay varias formas de preguntar la hora según el nivel de formalidad.
🔹 What time is it? (¿Qué hora es?) – Common and neutral.
🔹 Do you have the time? (¿Tienes la hora?) – Polite and indirect.
🔹 Could you tell me the time, please? (¿Podrías decirme la hora, por favor?) – Formal and very polite.

🔹 En inglés, usamos “past” para indicar minutos después de la hora y “to” para indicar minutos antes de la hora. Ejemplo: “It’s twenty past five” (Son las cinco y veinte).
🔹 El formato de 24 horas no es común en inglés hablado. Se prefiere el formato de 12 horas con “AM” y “PM”.
🔹 “O’clock” solo se usa para indicar la hora en punto. Ejemplo: “It’s three o’clock” (Son las tres en punto).
